$owing and Reaping GAIL S RHINES Jan 30, 2003 Harvest time is here for you, but you wonder about the gifts you have received. Think back and remember that what you have received is what you have sown during your times of planting. Now the seed sown has made it's way back to you. IF what you sowed was good then you are probably witnessing the blessings from it right now! IF you are not witnessing something good then here is what Luke 6:37-38 says, "Stop judging others, and you will not be judged. Stop criticizing others, or it will all come back on you. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven. If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving--large or small--it will be used to measure what is given back to you." Sowing and reaping is very important in our lives, but still this area continues to be viewed only one way. This way most times is in the means of money, but seed time and harvest times goes way beyond money. It is how we are with others, it is the way we demand to be treated by others. If we desire these good things along with what's best for us then we need to start doing the best concerning others. Galatians 5:14, For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." When done good and true blessings will find YOU! |
