Don't Eat the Daises  (thoughts to ponder)

"We are not what we think we are;

What are you allowing into your mind and
thereby controlling your heart, your actions, and your words?
God made you where you CAN'T think two thoughts at one time.
If you're thinking what's right, you CAN'T be thinking what's wrong
And as you think, you will become.
Guard your mind. Center your mind upon the Lord Jesus.
Don't let the devil take away your pure hearted devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Stay in love with Jesus and there won't be any room for those
filthy, dirty, wicked, lascivious, lustful, and prideful thoughts that bombard us all.

Start today to become more active in marshalling your thoughts and bringing them into obedience to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5).
Use Phil. 4:8 as a sieve through which you pass each thought.

2 Corinthians 10
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Philippians 4
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

It is the quality of my life that determines its value to those around me.
In order to judge the value of a person's life, we can set up a standard.
The most valuable life is one of honesty, purity, unselfishness and love.
All our lives can be measured against this standard in determining their value to the world. by this standard,
most of the so-called heroes of history were not great people.

The good news is that a GREAT LIFE is available to each and every one of us.
Living well and making a difference does not require money, fame or power.
Living well is about taking time to live your own life on your own terms.
It's about caring and sharing, about loving and dancing, and sharing a meal with a friend, or with a stranger.

Now that I'm 'older' (but refuse to grow up), here's what I've discovered:

I. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

2. My wild oats have turned into prunes and All Bran.

3. I finally got my head together; now my body is falling apart.

4. Funny, I don't remember being absent minded...

5. All reports are in; life is now officially unfair.


6. If all is not lost, where is it?

7. It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.

8. Some days you're the dog; some days you're the hydrant.

9. I wish the buck stopped here; I sure could use a few.

10. Kids in the back seat cause accidents.

11. Accidents in the back seat cause kids.

12. It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere.

13. The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you're in the bathroom.

14. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would have put them on my knees.

15. When I'm finally holding all the cards, why does everyone decide to play chess?

16. It's not hard to meet expenses, they're everywhere.

18. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something and then wonder what I'm here after.
